Grace Lee is a pianist, educator, and researcher.

During her undergraduate studies, Ms. Lee achieved notable success. She won the Mozart Concerto Competition and performed with their resident orchestra. She also secured 2nd prize in the CCM Concerto Competition with her performance of Beethoven’s Choral Fantasie. In addition to these achievements, she has won the American Protégé International Music Talent Competition, the International Music Competition Premio Città di Padova, and the US Virtuoso International Competition.
Ms. Lee has expanded her career to include teaching alongside her performances. She served as a teaching fellow at SMU’s preparatory department, where her students excelled, winning various competitions in Dallas, TX. She also taught class piano and elective piano classes as a graduate assistant at CCM and conducted group piano lessons at UC’s Communiversity program. During the summers, she worked at Belvoir Terrace and established her own studio in Cincinnati.
In addition to her teaching and performing roles, Ms. Lee has made contributions to piano education. She published articles on piano education in the United States in Korean piano magazines and presented at conferences like MTNA and NCKP. Her doctoral dissertation, titled ‘Pedagogy and Artistry in Selected Twentieth-Century Piano Etudes,’ earned her a doctoral degree.
Ms. Lee’s educational journey began at Sookmyung Women’s University in Korea, where she completed her undergraduate studies. She then pursued further education at the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music, earning both her master’s and doctoral degrees. Additionally, she obtained a performance diploma from Southern Methodist University, benefiting from guidance under esteemed mentors, including Haejeon Lee, Awadagin Pratt, Dr. Carol Leone, and Kate Soyeon Lee.
